From IBS flare up last week, doctor’s visit, high stress at work my food was all over the place. Then it all came to a complete halt of Sandy.
If you haven’t seen the news, the aftermath has The aftermath has been staying within the boundaries of my neighborhood. Public transportation is suspended, gas is limited, food is scarce, there is no power. Basic necessities are not being met. It is really disheartening to see the level of damage that Sandy left in the aftermath. I have to admit I haven’t experienced this kind of aftermath for about 20+ with Hurricane Hugo.
I guess at the end of the day, the getting on the scale can wait a week. My food surprisingly been quiet. My IBS not so much. It is what it is .
The past couple of days it has right sized this problem: my only action for today is to stay in the present. I have to stop focusing on the shoulda’s from the past and the longing to fast forward to my life. The clarity in taking this journey as a step by step process of celebrations, risk taking, and acting as if.
