Spending Thanksgiving in NYC is not something new for me. Growing up we used to travel every other year to NYC during Thanksgiving. We would spend most of the time shopping, visiting jewelry supply stores (my dad is a jeweler). But on Thanksgiving day we would go and see the parade from the hotel room in Time Square. I remember thinking wow I would love to live here.
Well flash forward 20 years later and I call NYC my home. I spend the day watching the parade on tv, going to a 12 step meeting for a bit, walking around the Upper East Side, having an abundantly delicious Thanksgiving Dinner (minus the Turkey but yes please to Pumpkin Pie), more walking and ending it with Champagne Cosmo.
The rest of the weekend well I spend it doing writing, reading the Hunger Games Trilogy, and watching too many episodes of Friends, and How I Met Your Mother. Yes I fully enjoyed the unseasonably warm weekend. Here are a few of the highlights of my weekend through pictures.
