I discovered Shrink Sessions during the summer of 2010. Over time, it quickly became my “home workout.” Between the sweaty challenging workout, the affirmations and the community, this is my go to tool to move through fear into action.
Last year, Erin launched Shrink Session workout to do at home. I have to say the product includes all of the elements that I love about the class:
- Great cardio/strength with burst of HIIT workout
- My favorite affirmation series
- Worksheets similar to what we do in the live class
- Facebook community of fellow Shrink Stars
What set shrink session apart from other workouts is that it’s a workout for your mind, body and soul. You can have one moment have a cardio dance party then go into a quick plank challenge and cool down with a loving meditation. As you shout out the affirmations, somehow your headtalk shifts.
Long-term Benefits – Body Love
I know it may sound cooky but shouting affirmations out loud while working out does work. I found myself when I was ready to quit, give up, take a break, the affirmation “I am STRONG enough” would help me push through that extra mile.
It is no accident that over the past couple of years, the way I talk to my body is very different. I believe this is in great part to this practice. When I find myself in a tailspin bind, I know I can pull out those affirmations to move forward.
Whether doing it the LIVE workout or doing it at home, Shrink Session attracts a community of like-minded go-getters who are supportive, loving and ready to take action. There is an active community that gets to witness your journey.
For me this has meant sharing when I need support, celebrating my accomplishments. I have been inspired by Shrink friends to not only tap into my creative self but take action around it.
If you are looking for a community then i encourage you to check it out!
