Jared is a lawyer on track to be partner. After coming home from work one night he meets Felicity a grad student who is on track for her dream job. Felicity was sleeping in his bed. Jared became infatuated with Felicity. There was an instant attraction.
They start to date. We have the virgin trope in this book. They overcome a few obstacles of what the future would look like. Felicity wants to move to LA while Jared needs to stay in Chicago. They have a twist that changes the course of their relationship. They live happily ever after.
There is some fairy tale retelling in this book, a bit of sleeping beauty.
In terms of plot-wise there wasn’t much going on. Just watching the relationship progress. There wasn’t any secret confession or major twist. The only twist happen at the end and it was expected.
I give this book a 3 stars. I enjoy the characters but there wasn’t much for the story.
