A lot of has happened over the past 6 months.
I traveled to Europe on a solo adventure. I visited Lisbon, Prague and Amsterdam. I spent time reading, sightseeing and enjoying a great adventure.
Just when I got back from my trip, I started a new job working in Talent Acquisition at a bank. I enjoyed the job and it keeps me busy. The past 4 years I was plagued with jobs that were boring and didn’t engage my brain. That is no longer the problem.
After settling down, I have spent most of my free time reading books. I have read 276 books so far. I have read mostly contemporary romance, young adult and new adult genres. It’s been fun to escape into different worlds.
I am mixing things up in the blog. I want to give you a sneak preview.
Back to Basics
I will be blogging about books along with personal posts such as this to share my adventures living in Jersey City/NYC. I will be blogging about topics that inspire me such as manifestation, goal setting, fitness classes, and self-care routine.
There will be some book reviews but not a lot of them because they are not my favorite things to do. I will be doing book hauls of books that I buy or get from the library.
This blog will be a mix of lifestyle/book blogging. I will be posting daily book reviews on instagram though so make sure to follow me there.
Say Yes Podcast is back!
So after a yearlong hiatus, I am bringing back the Say Yes Podcast. However things are going to change a bit.
I will release one episode per week as opposed to 5 episodes. I don’t have the time to put together a daily show anymore.
The episode topic and format has also changed from lifestyle topics to just travel episodes with the occasional solo episodes. The show will focus on one travel spot per episode along with travel hacks.
The show will launch again, October 3, 2017. New episodes will be released on Tuesdays.
I will be posting new blog posts on Sundays. On Tuesday’s you will get a new episode of Say Yes Podcast.
I stopped checking Facebook since May. I now go sporadically to check Authors page and facebook groups about books new releases. I just realized that after years of being on facebook, leaving it behind has done wonders to my anxiety. I didn’t realized but Facebook totally triggered FOMO and the need to consume information. Once I stopped login in, I felt like I am back myself. I don’t miss it. So I am not going to pay much attention.
I will continue using Instagram. I use this platform for book recommendations and book ideas. I post 3 to 4 times a week with mini book reviews. I love it.
That’s it for me! I hope you enjoyed the updates. I can’t wait to be back next week with another post.
